While it may be possible, it's probably not worth the hassle or expense. Why not buy the car, part it out and use the money to buy a LT-4 (or a 383) & ZF for the C4.

cheers :seeya
I thought of that but it would be hard to sell parts in Croatia because
there are 2-3 C5 vettes here.
Yes, it'll bolt up. Even a 700R4 will bolt to the LS engines.
The ZF will fit, the camaro had the T56. The ZF and T56 use the same flywheel and pressure plate.
My understanding is that the ZF will NOT bolt up to the LS1s because I believe the LS1s have a different bellhousing bolt pattern than the Gen 1 and Gen 2 SBCs, and there aren't any LS1 bellhousings that have the ZF bolt pattern on them...at least this is my understanding.
The only way that I am aware of that you could install the LS1/T56 combo in your car is to use a Camaro T56 tailshaft section and either fabricate a tranny crossmember or a bracket (or new custom tailshaft housing) which will allow the trans to be bolted to the stock torque arm. I have seen the latter done, but it wasn't cheap.
I think I'll give up on this.
If I lived in US maybe I would go for it but here is very hard to find any
parts and it looks that I would need a lot of it.
