Flasher runs constantly
I installed LED taillights on my 96 coupe. I also installed the flasher that came with it. It had a cap I could put on it to reverse polarity if need be. The turn signals did not work without the cap so I put it on, they worked. Now that I have it all back together, when I turn on the ignition I can hear the flasher clicking all the time. No lights flashing unless I move the stalk but constantly clicking. Anyone have any idea what’s going on?

Not an electrical expert but it appears the flasher in energized all the time. But it is switching nothing until you move the stalk up or down and now it is switching the power to the lights. The flasher needs to be powered only when you have the stalk up or down. Dan
