Default TCC Solenoid Possible Problems

1st time poster over here the C4 section, I'm usually in the C3 area, but I'm hoping you'll have an idea of my problem.
Back in Jan 2015 I installed a 700r4 into my '72 350 which originally had a T400 installed.
Was overhauled before it was installed.
I use a B&M speed controller to control the lock-up, with brake and vacuum switches for disengagement.
Here's my install post for reference https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ddly-bits.html

Had a problem back in Nov 2017 when my convertor sprag clutch disintegrated, transmission was disassembled and all fixed by the original builder under warranty.

Now all has been going well for the past few years, oil and filter changed about 2yrs ago for regular maintenance.
Have just been on nearly a 3000km (about 1860mile) trip over easter.

Here's the problem, the lock-up has started playing up, works for awhile, but then drops out.
Start the day off and all is fine, after couple of hours driving, the lock-up drops out and wont reengage.
Stop for lunch, fuel etc, away from car for hour or so, start driving again, it works for a while then drops out again.
Have checked the B&M output and at set speed I'm getting voltage out to the solenoid.

Have the vette up on a hoist now, by passed the controller and tried jumping 12v to the terminals, but I do not hear any click like various sites say you'll hear.
I also do not see a tiny spark when touching the test leads to power.
If I was to put a meter across the terminals, what sort of reading/ohm's should i be seeing across the coil?

Does this point to the solenoid being defective and needs replacing?

Where as I can buy a new solenoid from Rockauto for say 40$Au and have it shipped, about 10 days delivery, local shops (if I can find stock) is over 120$Au.
Being down here in Australia, I'd rather not drop the pan until I have to or have spares on hand.

Thoughts or solution?

There are many wiring options and possibe faults. I saw in the other thread that you have a non stock wiring in the transmission. Something with the 4th gear switch.
Do you haev a wiring schematic showing what you did in the stransission, and how the external wiring is done?
