I mentioned this in another thread about my recent engine troubles but was hoping a dedicated thread would yield results.
Recently I found the lid of the MAF sensor on my '89 sitting on the wonderbar. I removed the MAF to check it out and saw this under the lid:
It sure looks there was supposed to be something plugged into that row of pins doesn't it? This is the Bosch MAF. Does anyone have a reference pic of one of these to compare or any knowledge on this matter? Did my MAF jettison its brain?
I'm not getting any error codes but I kind of feel like full throttle performace is not what it should be. I just finished gutting my disintegrated precats and installing a new cap and rotor to replace the burned up one I found. I thought this would restore the car's feel but I dunno--I think it's slower...
Your lucky you don't have any codes. I've had a 36 for few years now. Comes and goes...so frustrating. I've replaced it, cleaned it...don't know what else to do.

Thanks for the link.
I'll have to look at Zip when I get home. I know I got a replacement years ago but don't remember where from. Since then I have not replaced it. just tried cleaning it. As much as I drive the car I doubt I'll chase this anymore but it's good to have the info.
