Does anyone know where to buy the cold start switch/sensor for cars with the 9th injector? The temp sensor on the front of the intake manifold. Not finding much as far as new units.
Solar 88 I am not sure that is it for the cold start switch. The cold start switch connector is similar to if not the same as a fuel injector connector. The number for my 87 is 14084318. AC delco also made one. I am not guaranteeing these cross over but they were once listed but not longer listed by rock auto.
More Information for ACDELCO 212312{Alternate Inventory Numbers: 14084318, 19244930}
Some sellers of these will gouge your eyes out for pricing.

My bad, I forgot there’s 2 sensors on the front of the manifold and the one I listed was the one I replaced a few weeks ago and thought that’s what you needed. Yikes, you’re right about the prices private sellers are asking. I bought a new OEM IACV for my 1991 Nissan 240sx just a few years ago for $150 and now they’re going for over $1000. Greed isn’t good….
For newer models or well-maintained old cars, the dealership is usually the best place to start, especially if you need a specific part. They might not have it in stock, but they can order it from the manufacturer. For harder-to-find parts, like a cold start sensor for an older car with a 9th injector, specialty online stores can be helpful.
Ran across this. I can't confirm but it's probably worth checking. I see the switch on Ebay with prices across the board. Maybe it'll help someone on here.
"Not sure if this is a known fix but I figured this out. This is for anyone who has issues with their cold start injector and the thermal switch is bad and we all know the switch isn’t available or are stupid expensive if you can find one. I found this thermal switch used in older Toyota 22re engines. The connector is the same the internal wiring is the same but the thread pitch is different. I got a female m16x1.50 to male 3/8 npt adapter. Hope this helps anyone with an earlier car"
