C4 upgrade help
This is a multi-question thread. I have a bone-stock '95 LT1 that I want to do some upgrades on-either an LS3 swap, or a drop in a Procharger. Does anyone know of any C4 tuners in the NC area, especially the SE part of NC, that know C4's and can give good recommendations to help me along in the process? I have heard that a Procharger would be good, but that my automatic transmission would not hold up-so am I looking at a tranny rebuild, tranny swap, or some kind of a tranny reinforcement? If I get the mods done, it will be coming to me here in Germany for cruising the autobahn. If I go the Procharger route, what are some things I need to be aware of? If I decide to drop in an LS3 and a 4L60, what potential issues should I be aware of? I appreciate any input. This is my first Corvette, and I am torn between going the upgrade route on my C4 vs. getting a C6 and a tune.
