On the '94 cars, at least mine, there is 3 O2 sensors, one on each side before the cats, then one on the pass. side behind the cats. Now I've heard that the one after the cats isn't even active until '95.
So what I'm wondering is this. I'm getting ready to put a set of Hooker 2151 Long tube headers on. I know I need to put the bungs in the collectors for the sensors. I will not be running cats, so do I just need the provisions for the two pre-cat sensors, then leave the 3rd plugged in and just secure it out the way, or does it also still need to be in the exhaust stream?
I just spoke with someone about this yester day because I am buying a 94 harness for My LT1 witch is from a 95 F-body and I am using the ECM that came with the motor. The Way I understand it is the OBDII was suposed to be in the 94 corvette but was posponed till 96 and the corvette ended up with kind of a mixed bag. If you are going to long tube headers and removing the cat you should have your ECM reprogramed any way and your ECM can be programed to just ingnore the Third O2 sensor and will work fine Unlike the OBDII witch needs the O2 sims.
Hope this helps
