In the process of rebuilding and possibly improving the ZF6 transmission on my 96 LT4, and every mentions ZFDoc and his website as the best place to go. As far as I can tell however, the website hasn't been updated in years and there's nowhere to actually buy parts on there. I've sent an email and tried to call, but to no response.
Does anyone know if he's still active, or what I should do?
About how long did it take to finish your transmission if I may ask? I’ve had mine with him for several months now.
I’m being as patient as I can but my friends and family keep asking me about my transmission and it and I don’t know what to say anymore lol
It was like 3 months. Honestly I felt the same. I didn't want to harass him but I really wanted the car back together as I was loosing the summer season. I called him and kept in touch. Honestly I think he's a) very particular and methodical and b) literally the only person still working on the ZF. I know I called multiple transmission experts and none of them wanted anything to due with a manual, much less the ZF.
Bill is a stand up guy doing outstanding work and has been doing it for more years than I'd care to count.
He answers the phone, so take a minute out of your busy schedule to call and talk to the man.
I will not stand by and have anyone sully the reputation of a master in his craft.
In the outside chance you've forgotten or misplaced his phone with here it is:
602-319-6575
Put away your keyboard, get off your high horse, call the man.
You might have to call a couple of times, he's probably busy rebuilding YOUR ZF6.

Crabs
Geez, calm the farm - he only asked the question after trying to ring.
He'll get back to you and he is active. Usually takes a couple days. I hit him up for tech support on the phone sometimes. Agree with everything Crabs said (except I think he misinterpreted your attitude). Try texting him also.
After I had Bill do some work on my 94 we grilled steaks together and shot pool at his place. He is a gem to the community. Hope he keeps at it for a long time, when he stops it might be the death of the ZF6 and I love the transmission.

I talked to him the other day and he is alive and well. If you want the adapter, they are made to order and, he even have the longer pilot shaft in-stock. I will be purchasing this adapter and will document my experience for you guys.
