Default PKE 50% Functioning

I'm experiencing a problem with my PKE system on my 1993 Vette 4oth Anniversary Edition, convertible. Once programmed, the doors will lock but won't unlock when I reapproach. I've changed the PKE module twice, with the original and replacement parts. I've even used other fobs. The same outcome with the different modules and fobs, lock but won't unlock. The car has 11500 miles on it. Everything is pretty much new. Any thoughts on what could be the problem.

Default PKE module?

When you start the car up, does the Passive Entry system light come on for a second or so? Not stay on but just light up when the DIC lights come on starting the car?

Thanks, Scott for replying. Yes. The PKE light comes on for a second or two with the other indicators.

Default Pke

sounds to me like your fob is programmed to automatically lock and unlock the doors. i think the manual describes how to change that. Mark Mirrock has a good video on the PKE system and how to program the fob and to change its settings

Sounds strange, I don't think I've heard of this before. They should either be off, or when on it should lock both doors and at least the drivers door. Try to change the settings like Scott says and see if that changes anything

make sure keys are out of ignition
hold down the DOOR button until you hear a clack clack sound. The car has moved from on setting to off setting, or vice versa.

If set to "ON" it should lock both doors and unlock at least the drivers side.

When it is locking the doors, see if you can unlock the passengers side by pressing the DOOR button.
