Default Ac delete questions

So I just removed my ac setup and had a few questions. 1. Do I need to buy an idle pulley for belt routing or is there a way to just use a shorter belt?
2. If the shorter belt works whats the part # and what's the routing
3. If i need to use a pulley is there another option besides tpis 170$ pulley? If it requires a little fab im alright with that but 170 is crazy

Looking at the belt diagram will tell you everything. But you will not be able to clear the power steering pulley from the Alternator to the lower idler.

My issue right now is the current belt is way too long so I went out and bought a shorter belt but now the belts touch and rub against eachother which is a no-no. I think i have to bite the bullet and get a pulley but is tpis the only option or is there a dorman az ect part that will work well enough?

Unfortunately the Camaro 1LE delete does not work as the AC compressor is mounted differently in the F-Body application. TPIS has been the only one that I know of making it. And based upon what I have read lately, it’s good luck purchasing anything from them. It is a nice piece. I’ve got one on my race car.

Tpis says it won't ship until July 20th and I can't have the car down 2 months during the summer all for a pulley lol. There's gotta be another option...what about routing the belt differently? I can buy a new belt of any size no problem

You may have a good reason why not but couldn't you remount the compressor until the delete pulley comes?

One and maybe your only option would be to possibly mount the Alternator where the AC compressor should be. At that point, I would be worried about the belt wrap on the power steering pulley.
