I replaced the in my FPR and diaphragm and I'm having issues holding pressure after the key is turned off. Holds pressure fine when I pinch off the return line. I've taking it apart twice and don't see any defects. No external leaks. What could be causing the seat not to close off the return port? Very strange. Pressure jumps to 40 psi then after turning the key off it bleeds down to maybe 10psi..the slowly drops to zero. I'm temped to try another diaphragm..but they are like $100 and don't see anything wrong with the new one I got. Any ideas?
Could the fuel pressure be overriding the spring pressure?
Here a vid. Maybe this is normal function based on reading posts?
When you installed it, it didn't sit flat until you tightened the screws and compressed the spring correct ??
The metal ring, that helps hold down the outer edges of the cover, is on top of the cover and not on bottom right ??
Was it well centered when you installed it ??
Stock cover or adjustable ??

All stock. I think I solved it. The new one must have been bad. I got another diaphragm from napa and its holding at 40psi now. Going to watch the clock to see how long it holds. The first one must have had a bad spring or something..weird. Never seen that before.
