'93 Started Surging after Cruise Control Usage

'93 Started Surging after Cruise Control Usage
Hello,
I have a '93, all the base RPO codes. The car had some excitement last summer when a bad batch of rebuilt injectors caused some issues, but it has been surprisingly reliable since then.
Today I was out driving around and was on a relatively straight road for Pennsylvania so I set the cruise control. An S curve arrived and I didn't even think about the cruise being on and just steered through the corners. The cruise didn't particularly like the strain and briefly tried fight the bog on the motor until I tapped the brakes.
However, after that the engine started surging. I clicked the cruise control to 'off'' on the stick which made no different (not that I really thought it would). The car continued to surge pretty uniformly throughout the 1-3k rpm range until I got it home. I am not showing any codes in the computer.
Any ideas? Thanks for the assistance!
