Another Hard Starting Question
I have a 1986 that's completely stock with 29000 miles. When cold it takes about 4 or 5 seconds of cranking to start. I was told by the prior owner who happens to my a friend that the gas tank was dropped and cleaned and a new pump was installed. So far I have checked the fuel system pressure using a gauge and get 42psi with the key in the on position and it holds steady at 42. When I start the car it drops down to about 34psi. My thoughts are to change the fuel filter first because I don't know if that's been changed then the fuel pressure regulator. When the car is warm it starts up with out hesitation. Thoughts?

I’d look into the cold start injector system since at a certain temperature it is not used during engine cranking.
