Oil pressure gauge question
Hey y’all I have a 91 l98
Whenever I turn my key to the on position my oil pressure gauge maxes out but all of the other gauges drop to their lowest spots besides the battery gauge of course. So my question is is this normal for the oil pressure gauge? I'm just concerned that maybe there’s a sensor that’s going bad and when the cars running I’m getting an inaccurate oil pressure reading.

If the sending unit connector is bad/loose/frayed, it will read to 80 always.
You should replace the unit and check the connector itself.
