The trick is going to be holding the panel the way it is supposed to be while the glass dries....
Yes, I agree that this will be important. My panel looks like it has warped so that the ribs have spread open at the cracks. I believe that this is why the panel won't stay hooked on the door - the part that hooks over the top of the door has pulled away from the area it's supposed to grab. If I repair the cracks without first closing the gap, I suspect that it still won't stay hooked. If I hold the gap closed and apply the patch wothout relieving the strain, I bet that it'll split open again. I need to find a way to re-bend the panel so that the gap is closed before I apply my repair.

As for the window moving up and down or front to back there is a plastic piece at the bottom front of the window (actually bolted to the window). You will need a snap ring pliers or special snap on tool to remove the bolt. This piece wears out .....it looks ok untill you get it off and inspect...it cost under $10 from gm....if you have the window apart I suggest you replace....As for the door panels....You can use a spanish wrench..(rope tied around panel then twisted to get curve back in top of panel before you reinforce ribs with fiberglass or strong epoexy.... I used Marien tex used on boats..... got it from Ace hardware.... Good luck......Might also reinforce with some metal straps epoexy in place to help.....
