LS Swappers please look here.
Maybe some one knows. I am working on an 1989 it came from the factory as a stick so it has the 44 rear end with 3:33 gears. I am swapping in a 6.0 from a 2500 pickup with a 700R4.I understand that the driveshaft and the "C" channels are different between the stick and the automatics. My question what am I going to have to do to mat this combination up? I had hoped to to a manual trans but I have developed neuropathy in my feet and shifting with a clutch is no longer in my wheel house. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

The c beam difference is because of the dana 44 vs dana 36 not the transmission. Change the yoke on the drive shaft to one for an automatic. When using a non corvette 700r4 you have to use the tail housing from a Corvette transmission. The Corvette output shaft is shorter, you can change it or cut to match.

Are you dead set on the 700r4? An LS era auto like a 4l60e or better yet a 4l80e would work a lot better. That and if you already have a PCM or aftermarket ECU to run an LS then transmission control is easy. You just need to fab a c beam adapter. Not hard at all. It's pretty well documented here. I've made two now one for a 4l80e and years ago I did one for a 4l60e.
That and if you go 4l60e with an adapter you can use a factory stick shift drive shaft.
