What tires are you using? Old hard tires may be what's killing your launch, not to mention giving you other problems you don't even know you have. New sticky tires should improve your launch, handling, braking, and rain traction. Also make it quieter. When I went from a set of old Bridgestones to my new pilots I thought I had put pillows on the rims.
I have Bridgestone Potenze RE71's on but I think they were like 2-3 yrs old when I made the run, so that may have been the problem. I still have them on and am due for a new set of wheels. :smash: Hopefully my problem is that simple.
I've got an A4 and found that loading the torque converter just before launching, holding the car at about 1600 rpm, and launching without traction control gives me a hard, fast start. After rolling for a few tire rotations I apply full throttle; I've been able to get just enough tire spin for a solid launch, and then apply full torque without sending the rears up in smoke.
I would think that 1.9's 60' would be possible, as I have been able to hit 1.9 consistently with real street tires (255 Gatorbacks and 315 Dunlop SP9000), but that will only help you get to 13.6-7's. Have you done a tune up on your car lately, change the fuel filter, even replace you optispark if you have higher miles? What RPM is your tranny shifting at? Something seems a miss that your running only 101mph with a few mods.
I had the fuel filter and pump changed last year. Replaced the optispark about 2 yrs ago or so (can you say hydroplane a river?). Never done a tune up (not sure what you mean by that) and I can't remember when my gears shift. I'll find out later today.
A head and cam package would probably do it. A higher stall converter with some
3.42's or 3.73's with some drag radials would probably get you close, but probably not all the way. I'm not sure what converter works well with an A4 C4, but possibly something like a Vigilante 2800.

That's what I have.
Just to add some more, I was getting 1.9 60's with street tires and the stock torque converter, ASR off and no problem with traction at all.
