I was pulling off my T.B. to clean and do the coolant by-pass mod. and i decided to remove the plenum. I gasket matched all the holes and cut out the WALLS behind the T.B. ports. I polished the plenum and runners too. what do you guys recommend i do while its apart like this. Simple stuff nothin real radical. :leaving:
Sounds liek you got most of it.... unless you want to take the intake manifold and port that.... Supposedly that is where you will gain the most power.... I dont know from experiance though..... Oh and go for a AFPR while your under there..... Helps for tuning your car and it comes with the new gaskets to put the plenum back on
BTW= How do you like your LT1 exhaust? I just picked one up for free.... Im going to get rid of the front Y and put 2.75" pipes straight back to the resonator..... What do you think?
Thanks. I like the LT1 exhaust alot. It looks great, its not real loud but very distinct. I have the 2.75 pipe from mufflers to cat. My precats are removed and my main cat is sleeved. I really cant say about the performance since i rarely drive her let alone get into it.
The AFPR sounds like a plan. I hear it dont do much without computer mods but a chip is coming. It will assure i keep that 35 lbs of press.
Is there a guage for feul pressure that i can keep underhood ?
You might want to also:
install a 160 deg stat and fan sw,
do the TB coolant bypass,
relocate the MAT into the air filter lid
and cut back the spark plug ground electrodes (see my site).
