Ignition coil
Hope someone can help. 84 corvette
trying to replace the ignition coil. Installed it and when I crank the car the white wire is sparking a lot where it crosses the black wire. Is this normal? Replacing it because the old one was sparking below the red wire in the epoxy.

No, electricity should never spark freely in a car, house, or any other item that has wires running through it.
I had a clothes drier with a loose power cord connection on the back. Thankfully, the arcing fried the power cord, but not my house.
Check the wires for any cuts or missing insulation. Ensure the connections are nice and firm. Ensure there are no dirty contact points.
