Default Powder Coating

I checked into powder coating my valve covers ('88 L-98) and the shop told me they can’t do magnesium. Is that correct, does anyone else have their valve covers powder coated?

Hmmmm. My valve covers were powder-coated with no problems....I also thought the covers were aluminum, not magnesium.

Yea they are magnesium.
I don't think they can powder coat them though.
They are usually just repainted stock color.

Yes, they can be powdercoated... here are my mag covers along with my TPI done up in Class A Silver.

FYI, powdercoating (400F bake oven) gets no where near auto ignition of solid magnesium.

Bill, I like your setup. Now that I finally have my digital camera working again, could someone tell me how to post a pic of mine?
