I have a ‘84 C4 and my passenger side headlight motor doesn’t work properly. I took it apart and found a gear that is broken but I can’t seem to figure out how to take it out and replace it. I haven’t found anything on this gear.

I haven’t found anything on this gear. Everything I have seen has been about the gear in the motor. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
IIRC the 84 thru 87 C4s have a different motor design than the later cars and the videos I have seen all deal with the later cars. You may have to contact the C4 salvage yards and buy a good used motor.

To replace this motor you have to first take the motor off of the headlight. Then you’ll see there’s 2 pins on either side. I choose to knockout the back pin but you could do either. Place it on a vise and then use a punch out tool and hit it out. It took a while but I got it out. Then replace the gear. Lube it up. And do everything you just did backwards to put it back on.
