First pic looks like the coolant temp sensor in front edge of the intake manifold.
Second pic looks like the mass airflow sensor connector which mounts to the underside of the MAF - air intake tube to the engine.

It's the wrong connector style to be the temp sensor. Not enough wires to be the IAC. And in either case, the wire colors aren't correct for these functions.
The wire colors may be faded. Pull the covering back and see what the wire colors actually are:
Pink/blk and gray = EGR solenoid connector.
Pink/blk and brown = Air select switching valve. << This is my guess.
Pink/blk and blk/pnk = Air divert valve.
