antenna mast
My mast has failed me!!!! Just one of many things that has failed. But, thats part of owning a car, I think!!! How do I remove the gromet to reach the nut to remove the mast? 1990 coupe. Thanks

If you purchase the antenna mast kit from GM it will have the little tool to remove the mast and the destructions to install the new one. The last mast kit I bought was 29.00 84 CF 91 ZR-1

It wasn't that simple for my 86 coupe. I had to remove the rear wheel,remove the inner fender,unbolt antenna bracket and then squeeze my arm between all the other stuff to get to the big plastic nut on the antenna tube. Then i had to pry off the large rubber gromet where the wires enter the body. After all that i could finnaly remove the antenna and repair it. All my g.m. antenna kit was the nylon rod attached to the finial end of the antenna. Good Luck :cheers:
