85 ecm troubles?
I bought this 85 corvette and everything worked perfectly except the doug nash unit. Early 85 model so I had the toggle overdrive switch next to the shifter, not on top of it. In a last ditch effort to get my overdrive functional I did the ecm bypass. I connected pin a7 (tan and black wire) with pin c8 (light blue wire). When I went to start it it would run maybe 3 seconds then die, I could get it to run longer but VERY rough if I flutter the gas petal but it would always end up dying. So I went back under my dash and reconnected the pins back how they where from factory, plugged back in my ecm and it had no effect, still dies within 3 seconds. Now I've gone and bought a new remanufactured ecm and plugged it in and I'm wondering if it's for the right year because now it just endlessly cranks with no hope of firing. New fuel pump and new fuel pressure regulator so I don't think it could be a fuel issue

Did not come with the chip, there where two I had to take off the old one and put into the new. There was no year posted with the new ecm so the odds of it being an 85 ecm is small. So I've ordered a genuine 85 reman ecm
