My 92's wipers are having problems. The spray, delay wipe and slow speed on the lever do nothing. If I put the switch on high, the wipers will move up the windshield about 6 inches then go back down, and repeat. What could this be?
Thanks, Dan

Sounds like bad wiper motors or the gears that drive them may be stripped. I'm not sure why that would happen simultaneously to both though. Did one go and then the other or did you do something recently like replace the wiper arms?

Dan,
I just looked at the wiring diagram. There really nothing but a switch, a control module and a motor. However the circuitry is complex. If you don't have, I could fax you the schematic.
Re: Need help with windshield wiper system (jimswhite92)
There is a small circuit board bolted to the inside of the cover on the motor. Sometimes the circuit board will go bad on the motor. Mine did but it didnt act like that. It would work about half the time. It took some searching but I was able to buy just the circuit board from advance auto without having to buy the entire motor assmebly.

Mine did exactly the same thing, I think. Mine worked only on high, and they would only cycle in and out of the park position (i.e. go up about six inches, then go all the way down to the stowed position, then back up, etc.). My problem turned out to be a faulty park switch, which is a small part inside the wiper motor itself. You don't have to remove the motor to replace the park switch, you just have to remove the black plastic wiper motor cover, so this is not a difficult job. I got mine from http://www.tld-corvette.com for $36. It's not in the online catalog, so you have to call and ask for it.
Your other possibilities are the wiper motor cover or the motor itself. The cover has a circuit board that can go bad. The factory manual has a chart with common problems and their most likely cause. The most likely cause for "Blades cylce in and out of park position" is a faulty park switch. That did it for me, and I'll bet it's your problem. Good luck!
