I really need to do the weatherstripping that goes up the A-pilar, accross the front, back down. I already have the stripping & 3M weatherstrip adheasive. How hard is it to do myself, I am pretty good shadetree mech. and body man. A local glass shop estimated $50 to install if I had every thing and they didn't have to take out the windshield to do it.
Should I let them do it. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think that the winshield has to come out. How hard is it and what troubles did you run into?
Thanks guys.
Re: Anyone whose replaced weatherstripping, need adv. (Glasman66)
I just replaced all of my weather stripping. Out of all the pcs. that one is probably the easiest. ;) It shouldn't take u more then 30 min. after you clean the old stuff out.

Make sure and pull the screws out of the channel that holds the weather stripping across the top of the windshield and remove that channel. Clean real well and seal that channel down. If you don't you take a good chance of it leaking.

:iagree: Do it yourself. Not hard at all. Good Luck, Guy
I replaced every other piece BUT that one on my car. It could only be my car, but my weatherstripping is about 3 years old,and it's turning to **** in a hurry. Cracks, separation etc. I used the grease on it a few times, then I heard it's not good to use that(So now I don't use anything on it). They rake you over the coals and give you the same crap that was on the car.
