Anybody ever install taller valve covers and figure a way to deal with alternator and alternator / AC Compressor bracket? Found a nice chrome set but I know they would hit the alt/ac bracket and maybe the alternator itself.
If you go with those covers (or any non OEM cover) you need to be sure oil baffles are installed under the PCV and breather grommets. Without baffles installed, your engine will ingest LOTS of oil through those ports. I've had to install baffles on valve covers just like that.
The factory valve covers are quality units with oil baffles already in place. If you're looking for more clearance to install 1.6 roller rockers, just cut the drip tabs off the OEM coves. If you still need a little more clearance, you can install thicker gaskets like these: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/f...saAvinEALw_wcB
No rockers, it is more of a crappy looking valve cover, online horror stories about how bad the castings are and high prices for professional (power coating) services vs a quick bolt on of shiny new covers
