Default Lowering C4 below 1 inch

Before I write this I want to say that I not trying to "pimp" out my vette! haha

I have been trying to find a way to lower my C4 below 1 inch. The bolts and shims kits, as I understand will only go to one inch?

I am exploring other options, but first I am never going to race it. I can only do 140 mph once in a while, and I can't afford the tickets that go along with speed!
I am being trying to find springs or shocks that will take it passed 1 inch. No luck.
An airbag system will let me drop it to the ground (Air Ride Technologies).

if you are looking for a way to lower more than the standard kits will allow, you will probably have to go to a coil over setup.

If you are looking for insructions on how to use the "kits" try the SEARC engine on the fiprum. Search "archives" and "post bodies".

Also check the "tech tips section" Good luck

We have discussed all of the ways to go lower with the standard springs that I know of here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=485943

Coilovers or airbags would be another option (assuming you can get airbags into a C4.

If you do a search there are alot more threads on lowering.

HTH and welcome to the Forum.

Thank you for your responses. I went to the link...not much help, because unless I missed something...I didn't see anything about lowering more than 1". Some of ya'll, didn't drop an inch.
I just got back from a customizer in Louisville KY. Great guy!!! (I have this shops info if anyone would like it). To go low air bag suspension would be $4000 because of parts, modifications needed, and labor. Well I can't afford that. So we are going to research coil overs.

Where do I get coil over adjustable shocks for my C4? Thanks!!!!!

HEre is the DRM kit. They can be found under the suspension section at (the second suspension option, not the one under conversions)

It is $1595. You would have to call them to see what range of adjustability in height they allow. I would imagine it would go from stock to 2-3" lower.

I want to get this kit someday.
