New from Reddevilriver and OBD diagnostics ?
Typo in the title : should be news, no new!
- Tried to buy ODB1 to USB cable from OBD diagnostics (ALDL cable) : site had an internal error, impossible to reach them by mail or phone and I had to cancel the transaction at Paypal.
- Tried to contact by mail Reddevilriver : mailbox is full
Are those guys still in business ? Any other reliable source for such a cable ? As recommended in other threads, I don't want to buy some non original stuff.

Just ordered a USB to TTL UART 5V cable + an OBD1 to OBD2 cable and a 10k resistor to keep the 12pins connector on ali
Total less than 20 with shipping. If you don't care to have to put it in a box, USB to UART can be had for 2...
This is the kind of cable used with arduinos. No need to invert signals with USB, and should it be the case it can be done at driver level. Just use a cable with FTDI chip.

I bought a cable from RedDevilRiver last July, it took about 10 days to get it, no issues at all. It is very basic but also worked just fine. I think it is just one guy working from his garage as he has time.
I also bought a cable from BoostedNW and had nothing but issues with the company. They do not stick to shipping dates they are so firm about, they did not answer email, phone or chat. I had to make a post on their FB page asking about their products to get any response at all, then I asked about my order. They missed the date they said it would ship, twice. Once I finally got the product it was excellent. If you can find their products from some one else, buy it, the product is great but the customer service is severely lacking.
