@Vetteman1939 In a previous thread about your cluster, you said you worked at a GM dealership. So you have access to all the schematics and troubleshooting diagrams. I would also expect somebody in your service department to have a Tech2. Beg to borrow and buy them lunch.
yep still at dealer, techline has 92 info but only campaigns and recalls no schematics or troubleshooting anymore. I have tech 2 and even still tech 1, but will not read the ccm data only can get it to read ecm and it shows no codes
Ok, I think this gives you the green light for your carb project indeed But you also have the knowledge that it's possible to get a replacement part according to ChumpVette.
Your choice, sad that we didn't pin point the issue.

ite all good pretty sure ccm is culprit but I'm good with carb setup I appreciate all you're help my friend
Yep, I know it's feasible. I would expect the guys who are preparing a >100 miles CCM to ask for some proof of the current car mileage, what if the CCM is cooked with no EEPROM reading, no LCD running, then it becomes complex. Do you still offer a CCM prog in such scenarios ?
Or maybe GM dealership still offer such kind of the service ?
Most would prefer a recent service order with vin and mileage. If not available, go back to car fax and see what the last mileage reported event was.
GM dealership is not going to offer that service at all. I took a look on eBay, there is a CCM for 150 bucks. For 300 total a solution can be had.

Not even going that route anymore after seeing wiring after pulling intake, going just carb and be done, intake and parts are already ordered, appreciate the time though. Actually going enjoy a carb again.. maybe bring back memories when this old.man started in the dealer lol
