Possible installing 93 engine to replace toasted 94
It's a stick, so I don't have to worry about the trans programming. I know I'll need to install my MAF on it.Will the Petris opti swap from my 94 to the 93?
Can you think of anything I'm forgetting?

yes, 93/94 have the same distributor, you'd be mad not to keep that Petris, damn good item.
use the 94 PCM, or you'll have to swap out a heap of other stuff throughout the car.
you'll have to swap the engine wiring harness, the throttle body due to IAC, injectors (either swap the whole manifold or don't, but injectors are different) reuse your 94 coil/ICM assembly, and most other stuff will be close enough or obvious when you get to it.
leave the A/C compressor, alternator, power steering pump etc with the car.
Thanks for the help, Case. My 94 is in parts all over my garage. The crank is destroyed, and a couple of the bores are scored. On the plus side, that means everything I'll need for the 93 is already sitting in my garage, waiting to be installed. Injectors, MAF, Petris. I'll be reusing the original wiring harness and the 94 computer.
I think the 93s have the forged rods, too. 👍
Time to decide on my clutch setup. The dmf is worn out, so I need to swap to a single mass. I need to research push vs pull type, and then different brands and clutch styles.

Well my 93 has forged rods, but it's a Callaway, not certain on what the stock ones have but the rods were different to 94 and probably better.
I've installed a lot of Petris distributors and never had one fail, damn good quality part.
That Petris cost me over 500 after I upgraded it. I did a lot of research, considering the cost, and didn't find any reports of failure. None. It was worth it to me because I want to drive it with no worries. So, I of course went to the dragstrip and spun some bearings.😅
