Default Express-Down feature

It seems the driver side "Express-Down" feature does not work on my '94 LT1. Otherwise the window works well. Is this likely due to a dirty contact? Typically with this feature on other cars, there's the initial nudge of the switch that lets the driver regulate the opening and an additional nudge activates "Express-Down." Does the factory switch have this feel?

Just a momentary touch and immediate release.

If you hold it down for more than just a momentary touch, it doesn't express-down.

@IHBD Thanks for that. The Express-Down isn't working on my driver window. Is this likely a dirty contact? There's a wealth of threads on cleaning the switch, it looks like all i need to do is remove the manual door slider lock and i can then remove switch. Should i spray a little DeoxIT into the switch?

The switch is the same electrically as the non-express down years' switch, so if the window works, it isn't the switch. I suspect that the express down module has a relay in it, and after decades of inactivity, the relay is stuck. The FSM does not show the internal circuitry of the module, I'm only guessing.

Diz: AFAIK, the express down didn't begin until 1994, and perhaps not until 95, which I know has express down, but I'm not certain that 94 does. 93 does not.

@IHBD it must be the relay then. The window sticker that came with my car's vin says the power windows have the Express-Down feature. .I'll do some research to learn what a relay is and does. I'm learingin a lot
