vats, ecm, problem ?
Hi, please help me !
Previous Context
Im on my third attemp to install a previous used superram (airleaks) but running..
on this last attempt when I tried to start, engine do not start, fuel pressure at rail and spark at sparkplugs, probably not injector pulse. when I applied fuel inside plenum tries to starts but dont.
during this attempt I replace tps and map connectors, I double check previous coonectors colors and appears to be correct.
I check vats resistor and its at correct value but engine is cranking then I dont believe this is the problem until after several cranking attempts, starter dont works and security light (vats) appears and dont dissapear when key is on, again resistor its correct. and fuses at right door appears to be correct.
at this moment I dont have cranking and security light is on
1,. Vats
resistor value its correct, what more can I do, vats module ?, VATS module indeependent from ecu at this model
2.- ecu
original ecu at car
how can I test, ? proabbly I have a replacement to test but I dont want to fried without previous check.
with ignition on and ac on cooler fan works, at this moment this dont happens.
I have tuner pro apu1 scanner, before security light scanner connects and now I cant connect scanner to ecu
3.- pulse at injectors
with ignition on I have at injector harnes (8) 12v on each pin at connector, I dont know if this is correct, I know that work witch ecm sending ground signal
I saw during installing some wear at injector connector harness and I tried to insulate properly but maybe needs to be double check
Im waiting for tool to check injector pulse, but I have a led light with 1k resistor at positive polarized side to test,
3 distributor cap connectors are correct with 12v , I know that signal from dis to ecu applies groud signal to injectors, something to check here, I have spark at plugs
4.- tps - map connectors
TPS,
I have previous conector and look correct , I tested with volt meter
when tb open increses voltage at signal cable
MAP
I dont have previous connector with me
I tested with voltmeter and vacuum pistol, with vacuum apllied voltage decreases, its installed the same way as tps, maybe heres its wrong. I know that without map engine starts rough but starts.

You can confirm the resistance value that the CCM is receiving by using the onboard diagnostics.
> Jumper terminals A and G in the diagnostic connector.
> Turn key to RUN. Watch Speedo. There will be a series of codes and "- - -". Wait until it stops at C12.
> Push TRIP/ODO until "1.2" appears in the fuel info section of the speedo.
> Push ENG/MET until "06" appears in the first two digits of the odometer. Look at the next three digits. These are the computation of the resistor to a digital value that the CCM has stored in memory. "255" is an open circuit. "255" will confirm that there is a bad connection in your bypass.
F - E - D - C - B - A
G - H - J - K - L - M
If the SECURITY light is ON with the key in RUN, the bypass resistor connections are faulty. There was a guy two days ago, this was his exact problem. Bad connections at his bypass resistor.
with led light I check 4 injectors connections (2 per side, the acessible) and I have pulse at injectors
Still dont have comunication with scanner
sounds like if is out of firing order, I dont mess this time with distributor or cables but I will check this.
( firing order from cap to spark plugs are correct, rotor only have 1 posiition)
I supose part of my problems is map and tps connections
tps 3 pin connectors
1.- top Ground
2.- middle - signal
3.- bottom 5v
map
I have map connections same way but appears here are a problem
please help me
i have spark, I have fuel pressure, I have pulse at injectors, no attempt to start, sounds like out of timing
I dont remove lower intake or dis at this time.
tomorrow I wil remove the dis to check correct position
hall module can be a problem to check ?
tps and map appears to be installed correctly
at last apu1 tunercat connects, tps is working properly
