Hey everyone, recently got a 1986 coupe corvette. So, the security light doesn't go out after arming the system, doors locked, hatch closed, etc. and it still stays on. Sometimes shutting the door when getting out will trigger the system, making the horn start blaring. Previous owner did some electrical work, installed their own kill switch. Which I've just been flipping every time I park the car so that the security light doesn't stay on 24/7 and kill my battery (also to save myself the embarrassment of the anti-theft system going off and making a scene), but it's annoying to have to do, especially since it resets the stereo, mpg on the dash, etc. Also, the car doesn't like idling. Sometimes it can be a pain to get it started for the first time, and I'll have to baby the throttle to keep the rpm's up. It's died before while sitting idle at my front gate when I'm coming home. So, I was attempting to get the codes manually by following the instructions from this website: https://corvette-c4.com/how-to-pull-...des-1984-1994/ but instead of making the engine light flash like it said it should, the engine fan under the hood starts spinning (fan operates as it should when driving, temps are normal). Any advice?
