Default Diagnostic Code 17

Hey folks, I replaced the heater core on my 1995 today and when I reconnected the battery and started the car I noticed the HVAC button (for whichever mode it was in) started blinking. I know that's a sign it's throwing a code. I put the HVAC in diagnostic mode and get a code 07. I understand that to mean 'speed'. When I jump the OBD port pins (12 and 4) I get a C12, then C17 and lastly H17. My understanding is code 12 means nothing, but I can't find much info for code 17. My only symptom is that the ASR button will NOT turn off ASR. ASR is still fully functioning. I always turn it off, so this is bugging me. I have disconnected the battery with zero change. I'm starting to think the 17 code might be something wheel speed sensor related and the computer defaults to keeping ASR active? I'm unsure. Any help would be very appreciated!

I believe that if you were doing the diagnostics correctly for the C68AC the 07 code would be a 'Sun Load Sensor Open' code. Do you have the FSM(Factory/Field Service Manual for your car? You can use the AC68 control to check some vehicle parameters and there's procedure to scan for speed which is Parameter 7 NOT 07 Code.

If you have the FSM review Book 1, 1C-3 for information etc.

Regarding your DTC's which mode did you have the cluster in? I don't believe there's a DTC 17 for run for the LT1. Now there is a DTC 17 for SIR and the Cluster would need to be in Mode A to read those with 4 & 12 jumpered.

In Book 1 spend some time in the 8D - CCM Section.

Here's a quick review of scanning a '94 - '95 using 4 & 12 jumpered.

DO YOU HAVE THE FSM?

Thanks brother, I clearly checked the wrong database for code 17. Haha. It's for my sun load sensor. I still have the dash pad off to repair the typical curled edge. So the weird thing is I have no actual computer codes, but a malfunctioning ASR button. I suppose I'll pull that apart and check and clean it.

Ok gents, I'll say it.... I'm dumb. Hahaha. In my defense, what are the odds of the ASR OFF light bulb burning out when I reconnected the battery. Hahaha. I tried it out, everything is fine, I just need to replace that bulb.
