Default 84 corvette vacumn hoses

Just curious to where this piece hooks up because it was not connected when I got the car.

Actually, that check valve is on the run from the intake to the vacuum ball I think, not on that diagram. I believe it feeds the cruise servo, vacuum ball, and CCV

I believe that 90 elbow is wrong. It should feed the HVAC line by the distributor

do you happen to have a photo of exactly where it connects by the distributor because I looked and looked and couldn’t find anything.

Keeping my eye on this thread because of this now. The cruise control of my car doesn't work and I am mysteriously missing this little check valve thing. I managed to pull one out of an 89 Corvette at the scrapyard, but I have to figure out how it hooks up.

EDIT: After a quick search, does this help? It looks like the HVAC line does come into that elbow. My car has the elbow still attached to the vacuum line and its tucked WAY under the distributor. This is an image from my vehicle. It should be about the same on yours:

yes this helps a big amount do you have a little bit of a better picture of where at back by the distributor. Just so I know where exactly the HVAC line is.

The HVAC line is a hard plastic line that runs through the firewall grommet along with the wiring to the ECM and A/C controls for in the car. It should not be a problem to find. Does your car have the OE vac operated heater control valve? The FSM should help you solve this 1B-3 has an interesting diagram, 1B-7 shows routing, and there's other interesting diagrams that should help. If you've got the vacuum source, the 3 way check valve and can locate the hard plastic tube through the firewall grommet you should be able to create a functioning unit.

OP - thatpurple84 - Do you have the FSM(Factory/Field Service Manual)?

I do not. When I bought the car it was not hooked up correctly for emissions and vacumns and came with the title and that was it.

Focus on your 3-way check valve in this picture for correct connections (in the circle) the rest of the picture wont likely be accurate, as far as what you find in your car...because this image is of how the vacuum lines would have looked before GM did a recall that had the Cruise Control Servo moved from the front LH wheel well/behind front bumper cavity to mounted on the LH hood latch assembly above the battery👍
