Default HELP ABS Issues

I decided to take on the horrendous wiring that a previous owner decided to screw up and it was beyond fixing so I decided to order a new used harness off of eBay the rear body harness that I ordered was out of a 96 corvette convertible and the car I have is a 93 convertible and the wiring looks identical now that I installed the new wiring I have an "service ABS" light on that's constantly on and the ABS isn't functioning and I can't figure out why the new wiring doesn't have any corrosion or cut wires and everything seems to be grounded so my question is since I can't find an answer anywhere are the pinouts different on the 96 harness compared to the 93 or do I need to get the 96 ABS module or is it a fluke and the ABS actually has something else wrong like a sensor or something.
This is the harness that I installed that was out of an 96 Convertible

What code are you getting from the ABS light?

And the harness you installed is a chassis/body side of the harness. I would expect if there was damage, it would be the harness on the chassis side.

The ABS sensors are part numbered differently for the '96 for sure. That would hint they maybe expect a correct/matching BPMV/EBTCM. Did the harnesses connect to the sensors & BPMV/EBTCM with no issues? Do you have the '93 FSM? Do you have remnants of the old harness with correct mating connectors for the '93.

On the harness that you bought there looks to be some tape wraps around the harness that should have numbers on them. What is the information on those wraps?

The '96 BPMV/EBTCM is different also.

The sensors are different part numbers as the connections changed on the rear to a weatherpack style connector and the sensors themselves have a weatherpack connector at the sensor.

They're not weather-pack but certainly are different. I took '93 & '96 FSM info side by side and I don't actually see similarities when comparing connectors to components. There's enough different I don't quite understand the attempt.

** Rear connector '96 is the same as the fronts for '91+

Yeah everything plugged in just fine and all of the connectors are the exact same as the old harness that's why I'm unsure if the pinouts are different on the 96 compared to the 93 and all I have to do is just change around some pins I cant find any electrical diagrams anywhere

I checked for damage before installing and I haven't checked the codes yet

I have both FSM '93 and '96 that I could supply you and give you a deal vs you buying 2. I'd help you like that. All of the pin-outs and everything are there and I'd point you to them. If it plugged in then it's not a '96 harness I believe. Can you get the numbers off of the harness like I asked? In your snapshot it looked like there was a wrap of tape in one place and that would have a 4 or 5 digit number on it. A '93 you wheel speed sensors should have fairly long harnesses on them where as the '96 wouldn't have had harnesses but the harness you have would have 2 pin connectors on the end of them for the sensors. The harness you bought included everything from the modules in the box to the rear wheel speed sensors?

what all was in the picture is what the harness came with just some relay switches and lights I also attached a picture of the wiring harness sticker that has the part number if you need any other pictures of it I'll have to remove it from the car and that will take a awhile
here's the sticker on the harness what shows the serial number

That part # 12130456 is for a '96 Corvette and the terminology is body front which would be intermediate down the left side rocker etc. It is for a 'vert.

I found it in a GM SPO Catalog that I have.

That same harness for a '93 would have been 12130341.

Did that harness fix all of the issues that you had? Do you have remnants of your old?

**** Just get your codes and see where you're at.

Whenever it gets to the ABS module it’s just says Err and it never shows a code or anything the codes it does show from module 1 are C13, C25, H13, H25

What do the lamps in the DIC tell you? I believe there's maybe 4 or 5 amber and a red brake? Do you have the FSM so that you can check and know what the issues might even be? What was your reason for replacing that particular harness? The PO had destroyed it or it had obvious issues? Do you have the old connectors so that you could compare which cavities are actually populated. I sent you a PM and haven't heard from you?

Sorry for the late response I found a factory service manual online that I’ve been looking through but what I’ve done so far was pin out the old harness to check pin locations on the plugs then did the same for the new harness and now they are both the same and the service ABS light is still constantly on and not functioning so I’m not sure if it’s best to try and find a harness that’s for 93 or what but I’m having trouble finding 93 harnesses
