U-JOINT TIME ANY BRAND I SHOULD AVOID?
Did some investagating today. Discovered at least one sloppy joint in half shaft. Going to replace both joints on that side. My local jobber sells precision brand joints. Is this brand ok? THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT!!

personally i'd
#1 buy spicers by brand
#2 buy naepco only if spicers were unavailable
#3 don't buy any others.

probably your local auto parts stores. call & find one that can order spicer, i've found they charge similar and you don't have to deal with shipping.

This is where I got mine. No one in my area could come close to matching their price.

Got mine at "the last detail"
Spicer is the brand GM used, there is a pretty good reason for it. I have the front 2 done, going to pull/replace the rear 4 soon...before spring. I think that I was looking at 80 for all six Ujoints. ?tld.com?
good luck!

Does anyone have part numbers. I have a complete dana 44 that I am getting ready to swap for the dana 36 in the car. Iwant to change all the U-Joints and bushings before I do the swap.

Re: U-JOINT TIME ANY BRAND I SHOULD AVOID? (Mikedril)
it's a standard 1 ton u joint. part 1350, the driveshaft uses a 1/2 ton 1310. they also make these in a coated version which might not be a bad idea to get. it keeps the metal from reacting and seizing in place. the non coated ones are a bit hard to remove after a couple years. i've done it though & it's not too bad, just get coated if possible.
