Like im not busy enough, been doing too much research on this...
Seeing as the slip yoke is not usable (or fixable, i reached out to someone on this) can i swap my current slip yoke to the 44 driveshaft and be done with it? What about the balancer on current yoke? Also, would need to have assembly balanced, correct? Thanks!
Yes, once you have the DS fully assembled, you should balance.
Man this thing is a fighter. Got 1 of the c-beam bolts out. Seems it was seized at the top of the case. Would have thought it was seized in the lower part of the case. But man are they stuck. And of course my oxygen tank for my torch is empty. Using propane torch which is just boring lol.
Also now the broken bolt in the side yoke is fighting me as well. Got most out, but might have to replace the right side stub axle, but of course cant find new one.
Glad im not in a hurry to get this done. Want to get other c-beam bolt out today so I can finally pull the diff cover off to look.
