Disabling the Selective Ride Control light
- Fix the FX3 shocks properly, dummy $$$$
- Pull the bulb out
- Unplug the FX3 controller
- Put some damn ‘lectricul tape over it!
And that’s all the detail they show. So I figured I’d put in a little more detail on #3. Disconnecting that controller is easy, you just need to know what to unplug.
- Open the cubby behind the drivers seat, requires a 7mm socket.
- Pull the ancient insulation out, and cough a few times to clear your lungs.
- If you’re sitting in the drivers seat with your back twisted painfully, the controller you want is velcroed to the right side wall with a big blue connector.
- un-Velcro it and pull it out so your hands can actually get to the connector.
- Pinch and unplug
- Re-Velcro it in place and stick the harness back in there somewhere.
- Put the insulation back in and screw the door shut
- Enjoy the absence of the SRC light
