Default Disabling the Selective Ride Control light

My car has the FX3 suspension and the 30 year old shocks are more than cooked. Instead of spending a small fortune and waiting an indeterminate amount of time, I decided to just replace them with Bilstein B8s and call it good (very good, the result is fantastic). The only problem is the Selective Ride Control warning light is stuck on. I read through several threads and the basic solutions are
  1. Fix the FX3 shocks properly, dummy $$$$
  2. Pull the bulb out
  3. Unplug the FX3 controller
  4. Put some damn ‘lectricul tape over it!

And that’s all the detail they show. So I figured I’d put in a little more detail on #3. Disconnecting that controller is easy, you just need to know what to unplug.
  1. Open the cubby behind the drivers seat, requires a 7mm socket.
  2. Pull the ancient insulation out, and cough a few times to clear your lungs.
  3. If you’re sitting in the drivers seat with your back twisted painfully, the controller you want is velcroed to the right side wall with a big blue connector.
  4. un-Velcro it and pull it out so your hands can actually get to the connector.
  5. Pinch and unplug
  6. Re-Velcro it in place and stick the harness back in there somewhere.
  7. Put the insulation back in and screw the door shut
  8. Enjoy the absence of the SRC light
