Cooling system questions?
1. Do all 94's have the auxilary fan, and which one or where is it, I have two fans right next 2 eachother and they are the only two i see, is one of them the auxilary, or was the auxilary only available up until a certain time, and the rest came with dual fans.
2. Where can i get a fan temp switch to turn the fans on at 185, i seen one in ecklers that makes them come on at 185 and off at 179 which i thought was pretty quick to turn them off but maybe not.
3. If those to fans are stock and i do have an auxilary fan which i'm not sure yet. But is their a switch to turn the auxilary on at a lower temp also.
basically i'm not sure if i have the auxilary fan, the only fans i see are the 2 after the radiator. So i am wondering what switch or switches should i get and where to get it or them from.

The later years (dual side by side fans) are completely computer controlled. You would need to butcher the wiring harness to wire in a thermal switch.
You should be able to find someone to reporgram your PCM for about the same cost as and Ecklers kit. It is a simple change if you have the tools.

FWIW: On my vette, I bought the CHEAP thermal switch from MAD for $13 (On @ 195º/Off @ 175º) and it works like a CHAMP! I followed 65Z01's tech tip on how to wire it into the auxillary fan (in front of the radiator) and now they both come on using that cheap, simple switch. My car literally has never seen above 200º in 105º Ambient Temp's sitting in traffic!
Without the A/C on the first fan will cycle on at 228*, the second fan will cycle on at 235*, they will both cycle of at ~208*.
If the A/C is on the fans are controlled by the pressure in the A/C condenser. They seem to keep mine down around 204*-208*.
In hot air at altitude while driving aggressively, I've seen my stay around 248*. I've heard that the LT1 used to run 255* while racing with out problems.
If your engine is in good condition (little internal rust and corrosion) you are pretty safe up to the boiling point of your coolant ~268* with a 50/50 mix.
Unless you are drag racing and wanting to start with a cool engine for that extra 2-3HP, then (IMHO) just leave it stock.
