Headlight operation question..
1996 base.
I disconnected my battery to replace my fuel pump.
Now: when I turn on the parking lights, normal operation. When I turn on the fog lights, my headlights also pop up (but don't light)
Before: I could turn on the parking and fogs, but the headlights stayed down until I switched to the headlights....
which is the normal operation?

That however does not affect the headlight motors, is odd what you are describing. Unless somehow someone modified the wiring for headlight motors to open with light switch or fog light switch position? 🤔

On my 91 I can turn fog lights on without headlights or park lights, the headlight motors only operate when turning headlights on. I know from the 90s C4 the fog light is connected to disable fog lights with high beam. Those who upgrade to LED headlights find that turning fog lights on can trigger high beam, the relay grounds via high beam filament.

The fog lamps only work when the markers are on.
When turn on the fogs, it lights up the high beam indicator, but doesn't engage the high beams.
It all sounds like it's related to the LED headlights?
Everything works, it's just odd.

I went to see how my 1992 reacted fog light vs head light. My headlights stay down when I push the fog light switch. But now since I checked I have a bulb burnt out. It is always something.
