rust inhibiting coating for headers
I just bought some used headers & the Y-pipe too. Great deal. They're in good used condition but they have some surface rust. It seems like I've seen ads for rust inhibiting coatings for exhaust that you could apply yourself. Does anybody have a web address or something?

The majority of hi-temp paints will do you no good. A friend of mine is building a Cobra kit car and sent his header/sidepipes to Jet Hot and had the stainless color put on. They look great. I plan on sending my LPE headers there soon.

I have a set of Hooker 2149's that the original coating had deteriorated that are on the way back now from Jet Hot. Be sure to ask for the Corvette Forum Member discount. 15% discount to Forum Members.
