Verify that your door switches aren't corroded and that they spring in and out properly. Use the courtesy light with one door open at a time to make sure lights go on and off. Verify trunk switch by doing the same thing. Verify that your battery is at 12 during shut off. Verify that all the fuses are pushed in properly. Others may chime in

Also make sure someone isnt setting your alarm off an running away.I dont know if your car is outside or not.I read an old article in a Vette magazine some years back with an interview with a Corvette thief. He said there was a Corvette he could not figure out how to disarm the car and was in it twice to attempt to disable. He couldnt find the secret switch the owner had customizewd to stay hidden.
So what he did was every night for a few days he would go to the car(it was parked outside in the driveway) and kick the tires, set off the alarm and run away.He would do this in the early mornings around 3 am as well. After a few days, the fed up but unsuspecting owner thought it was a electrical problem and didnt arm the alarm after that. The thief then got in one night, hot wired the car and stole it.
However,If theres a problem with your alarm, make sure the key holes are straight as well.Sorry cant offer much more technial advice on it.

I had the same problem on my '94. I found out that by using a hatch vent it had bent the bracket that held the switch for the hatch switch, it was bent just enough that the alarm would set and everything seemed alright, but just a little movement from the wind or vibration would set it off.

i checked all of the above and everything checks. one more thing is that sometimes i get close to the car and the remote doesnt open the car and sometimes when i leave my car it doesnt lock. its not that the doors get stuck or the locks get stuck its just that theres no reaction somtimes from the remote. one question is could a bad battery in the remote possible be causing the alarm to go off unexpectedly. the way its been messin up it almost seems like it would be the remote. any idea on how to open the remote up and change battery or is that somthin the dealer would have to look at?

Is there a chance that you have misplaced (lost) one of your keyless remotes in your car, and wherever it has landed it has the alarm button pushed? Just an outside chance, but stranger things have happened.

no i only got one remote and i have it. and the thing is the only buttons it has is to pop the hatch and to unlock the passenger door.
im begining to think it might be a weak battery in the remote.
anyone ever changed this battery. i cant even figure out how to open my remote to change the battery but also i wouldnt want to change it without someone elses help for the fact of messin up what ever memory the remote might have.

I thought I needed a new battery once..go to Radio Shack, they have the correct batteries...to open the fob you insert a knife edge and pry it open carefully...make sure you have them check your old battery before you put a new one in... turned out my old one was ok and when I put it back in all was good...lastly, do a search on this forum as I seem to recall some sort of recycling procedure which may reset your system and fix it...good luck

One sure way to verify if it is, or isnt, the remote, is get it out of range. :yesnod: I would not think a bad remote battery would have anything to do with it. The remotes have no "memory" they are merely transmitters. The Vette must recognize its particular remote/s. A weak battery will only reduce the range from which the remote will unlock the doors.
