Default throttle body shaft question

Hello all! I recently bought a bbk throttle body for my 86 (BBK 1534 twin 52mm throttle body) since my stock tb was beyond repair. Upon unboxing it, I performed a smoke test on it and found that the shaft was leaking from both sides/bearings (TPS and Return Spring)! As far as I know that's not supposed to happen, right? I contacted BBK and explained what I was dealing with and they responded saying that it was normal (Image of reply below). I'm 99% sure that a throttle body shouldn't leak AT ALL which is why I'm confused, unless I've been misinformed while performing research. I was wondering if you guys could weigh in on this because I'm somewhat confused. Am I just a dunce?

The amount of unmetered air entering shaft bore is negligible.
Don’t sweat it.
I also switched my worn out TB for the BBK 52, no regrets.

@AGENT 86 was the BBK swap easy peezy ???? (I already bypassed the coolant). Did you have to tune for the 48mm to 52mm change ??

Yes, easy peezy
My tune was done after a complete rebuild with all the performance parts installed.
No need for a tune when just swapping TB.
Just need to do minimum idle adjustment and throttle position sensor voltage adjustment.

Thank you Sir, very much appreciated. I am getting ready to do the brass bushing replacement and having a backup plan makes me feel better.
