I have a 94 c4 with 52000 miles, I was in a drive through when all the sudden the cooling fan popped on and then I felt my engine flutter and the oil service soon light come on, then, as I took my foot off the brake, the car moved as usual but then jumped forward. I then pulled in to the parking lot, popped the hood, everything was fine, and then when I started it back up I had no issues. Any ideas what happened here or has this happened to you?
My guess is an O2 sensor or exhaust leak- my engine light would turn on when idling in place because exhaust fumes would pollute the outside part of the sensor and trick it into reading lean
what do you mean by that? Can you explain a little more?
Find the OBD connector under driver side dash. If you use a wire or paperclip to short the 4th pin from left on top row to 4th pin on left on bottom row the codes will be displayed in the led display on dash.
