Default CV01 wheels for an 85

What should I look for when buying zr1 wheel replicas? I have an 85 and I know that the later models had different dimensions

You can fit the 88-96 54mm offset wheels with 1 inch hub centric adapters, that bolt on to the car and wheels to adapters.

Otherwise you will need to get the zr1 copy wheels with correct 38mm offset for 84 - 87 to bolt them directly to car.

The image in my profile is my 85, with direct fit 38 mm offset 17x9.5 all round with 275 40 17 tyres

Had the adapters on my 85 with 17x9.5 54mm offset rims and 275 40 17 tyres all round for 10 years, I did replace the wheels with direct fit 17x9.5 38mm offset later had no problems. However some countries have laws against adapters, so depends on where you live.

If you want to fit 17x11 rears they will poke out a bit again some countries do not allow the wheels to protrude from body, however people usually run more negative camber to keep them inside the rear quarters and avoid unwanted police attention.....

Where did you find the ones with correct offset?

Is there a way to get correct offset for the front 17x9.5s or do I have to use spacers?

They were readily available for 84-87 some years ago 17x9.5 x38mm offset, now they only seem to show the 17x9.5x 54mm offset available...

Did see some had 17x11 x36mm offset wheels which would fit 84-87 years. See link below but none in stock, you may be forced to use the one inch adapters with 17x9.5 x 54 mm offset 88-96 type...
