1985 4+3 bogs down under acceleration.

1985 4+3 bogs down under acceleration.
Hello all,
I have a new problem now with the 85. I have driven it several times since the rebuild, each time a little further, other than the idling issue the car ran great. I took it out yesterday and now when you try to accelerate it just bogs down. If I just crack the throttle to go through the gears it's fine, but if I try to get on it a little it almost shuts off. If I floor it it comes back to life and starts pulling. by the time I got home the check engine lite was on. I pulled the code and if I remember correctly is was 34. I googled it and it said low voltage to the Mass air meter. I cleared the code and the car still did the same thing but the light did not come back on. The battery and alternator seem to be working correctly.
I have access to a smoke machine so I'm going to work on the idling issue today.
