Default New Headers, what to do with EGR?

I recently just put on aftermarket headers on my 89 C4 L98. My question is, the new headers didn’t come with EGR ports for the EGR system. Has anyone run into this? Should I drill and tap my own? Should I do an EGR delete? I know the EGR helps keep cylinder temps down. I would prefer not to drill into the new headers and just do a delete but could that harm the engine? Wanted to get opinions before drilling into perfectly good/new headers. EDIT: so I did mix them up, I will have to remove the smog but now I’m confused on what I should do with the egr ststem, should I keep it or remove it?

You sure you're not confusing the A.I.R. system with EGR?

What he said! , The egr should be on the passenger rear. A flange on the header to a pipe that goes over the valve cover to the rear of the intake manifold.

I deleted EGR and AIR when building the engine and adding long tubes. If you want to delete you should have the ECM reprogrammed
