Hello everyone, I have a 1993 Corvette I am planning on putting the lt4 hotcam into. With the pn 24502586 that is only the cam. I am planning on running preformer 1.6rr from summit (pn PRO-66915C) but I'm looking at what springs I need to use. I have heard that the lt4 springs are a bad option as some people deal with valve float but others have said they have put many miles on them and have and no issues. but I also cant even find these springs for sale anymore. I am looking for something that will fit be mostly plug and play with the stock retainers since I also have heard that lt4 retainers are an issue. THe current ones I have seen people reference that seem to work are the PAC 1212x Im wondering if anyone has any experience with these springs or any other that will work well. And I have searched but I have yet to find a straightforward answer.
I tried the ; These springs will work on any 350 (See pic) from the big seller for HOD ROD parts after 3-sets I went with Alex's parts SKU-VSK4j21-Q 199.50 ,these are custom made for the LT-1 motors ,I have installed a set they work great ,and is a nice guy to work with ,not some 18 year old reading off a card says here these will work . Coil bind .
The factory LT4 springs aren't a good choice for the Hotcam, spend the little bit of extra money on getting the right springs and save yourself any potential headaches.
